The IMA has over 300 employees in a wide range of positions within various areas including conservation, curatorial, development, education, grounds and security. We employ full-time, part-time and seasonal personnel within an inclusive and creative environment.

Benefits
The Indianapolis Museum of Art offers a benefits package to full-time employees, that includes health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401K plans and access to benefits for domestic partners. Part-time staff who work 20 hours or more are eligible for paid vacation and option time.
Internships
The IMA also offers internships for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates each year during the summer. Interns selected to participate gain practical experience, marketable skills, and a broad exposure to museum work.

Internships
Internships are dependent on departmental requests and are available year-round. Interns participate in the ongoing work of the department to which they are assigned and are expected to complete a project or some portion of a major project. Individual responsibilities are determined by the educational background and work experience of the intern, as well as the needs of the department. Interns are not paid; however, you can receive course credit.
